My model Y charged at over 240 kW at 10% on a recent road trip, so I always knew about this. I believe Tesla must have pushed through the change with 2022.4.5.16 quietly. Did I say quietly? VW increased the charging rate from 120 to 130 kW with the ID software 3.0 update and had a big splashy PR. Tesla has increased its performance by 25% with absolutely zero mentions!

The 79 kWh battery is still new, I'd expect Tesla to make tweaks to charging, discharging and buffers over the next few months as they get more data from the field to optimise it - both for the M3 and MY.

Hard to be sure, but I was wondering whether I was getting somewhat higher supercharging rates in my M3 LR with the 79kWh pack than I did when I first got the car in December.
