I've read a few posts here about inverter failure and Tesla not covering it.
Maybe now those Tesla owners can recover some of their repair expenses.

Why wouldn't Tesla cover the repair? This clearly falls under the extended powertrain warranty even if not a recall item?

I havent read those threads that are being referenced, but the powertrain warranty on model 3s (and Ys) is either years or miles, so if one drives a lot they can hit the 100k /125k warranty way before the 8 years. Perhaps that is the situation in those thread? I havent looked as I said, (and dont plan on looking) but that would explain it.

My made in China M3 fits exactly into that build period....does anyone know if it matters if it’s a LR AWD or S++ RWD ?

I remember something about the inverter not being covered under the battery warranty.
