Tesla recommends cleaning and lubricating all brake calipers every 12 months or 20,000 km

When you want to book the annual "clean and lubricate the brake calipers" service, what do you request it under in the app? There's no option for that under the "Tires & Wheels" section. Do you just submit it under "Other > Something else" and enter the request manually?
If I were you I would call your local KalTire location ( Kal Tire | Locations ) and get an estimate from them. I had mine done last April when I swapped my winter tires to summer at KalTire in Milton. The cost was $152.13 (that includes tax). That particular location works on Tesla's and I know that several KalTire locations have experience working on Tesla's.

It's funny that you would make that recommendation.

I was on the phone to my local Kal Tire today to schedule my winter/summer wheel swap and asked about the brake servicing. They told me that they can't work on my brakes because it's a Tesla and they can't service regenerative braking systems.

I opted not to argue.

Currently exchanging messages with an independent shop in Innerkip that specialises in Teslas that I found a link to on a different thread.

Yeah, that's why I mentioned that some KalTire locations do the work. I'm sure you'll be able to find an independent shop local to you soon! Cheers

That's a lame excuse. Regen has nothing to do with lubing the calipers.
On the other hand, you can't go wrong with Cyril in Innerkip. Great guy.

Agreed. I decided a long time ago that I'm not going to argue with someone to take my money.
On the other hand, I'm repeatedly hearing good things about Cyril so I'm going to give him a try. And the drive from Waterloo to Innerkip will be the longest jaunt I've taken in my M3 since I picked it up on Oakville back in July. So that'll be nice.

Is the Milton location of KalTire even further away from you compared to Innerkip?

It's roughly the same. 50(ish) kms to Innerkip vs 70(ish) kms to Milton. I've been reading and hearing good things about Cyril's service so I want to give him a try.

FWIW, I quite like doing business with my local Kal Tire here in Waterloo. They treated me very well when I bought my winter tires and did a bunch of swapping of tires between rims. But they don't want to do my brake service so I'll look elsewhere. I'll still likely go back to Kal Tire when I need new tires.

I just chose tires & wheels, close enough. Besides I am fairly certain that someone on the other end reviews and classifies as required, they will at least judge if they can send a mobile ranger out first, and only have you go to a service center if absolutely necessary.

if anyone in Ottawa does the brakes themselves and finds the front pins hard to get out, you can take it to Beaverbrook Service centre in Kanata and they will get the pins out for you for $20.
I took the caliper off the car and took it to them and they punched it out for me
