Tesla refusing to honor FSD $7000 price

New to this forum. Have had a deposit ($2500) on Model Y LR with FSD since November. Was surprised that I was offered delivery in June. I advised that I will be in a lease until mid Sept. Was advised, no problem, and that FSD $7000 price would be honored if no changes were made after the July 1 FSD price increase. Well, I emailed the delivery center the other day, asking for an updated invoice reflecting the $3000 August price reduction so I could arrange CU financing. Surprise to me, I was told by a delivery specialist that I could definitely have the $3000 reduction, but not the $7000 FSD price. For a net price reduction of $2000, not $3000. In fact he offered one or the other. Kind of crazy to take the $7000 and then pay more than the Mulroney sticker.
Was told that just the way Tesla does it. Is that correct? Doesn't really seem fair. Order FSD before the July 1 price increase, that's what I thought Elon said.
Really want the car, just don't want to be screwed.

Thanks

If they update the car to reduced price, all other prices including FSD will also update. Nothing surprising or screwy here. You’ll still get a $2K reduction compared to the time you originally placed the order. You can argue whether this makes sense or not, but they’ve been pretty consistent with this.

Not to be mean, but the title 'Tesla refusing to honor $7000 price' is a little misleading. It could also be 'Buyer refusing to honor original agreed upon price'. Be thankful you just saved $2k. I reserved a RWD when they first came out, Tesla dropped the model Y prices last fall and I saved $1k, would have saved $2k but FSD was $1k more, I was still happy to save $1k.
