Yeah, the stock charger should either be adjustable to allow for a case (almost everyone uses a case) or wireless. I would have been happy to pay for it.

I, personally, don't use a case and have never broken a phone.

I purchased it. Complete piece of garbage. Turns off if you remove the phone. So you need to hold power button again for 3 sec to enable wireless charging. I expected it to be better.

My case isn't super thin nor is it super thick but provides pretty good drop protection (supcase brand). It works with the original cable after I fold a tiny piece of paper a few times and place it to the bottom of the connector to give it a small amount of lift.

Ah, that's a good idea. My case is just a regular case that I bought at the Apple Store when I bought my iPhone, a Tech21. It's not super thin, but not too thick either. I'll try the paper trick.
