Swung by my delivery center today. Lots of 3s with the new headlights but no MYs. Seems we will not get the new lights this year.

I really hope it is retrofittable. The new lights are fire. Especially with all the software that can take advantage of it.

I’m hoping so too, picking up my Y tomorrow and would like it as fresh as possible.
Already have the old lights on my M3P

Kind of a bummer as I like the new lights too. I'm expecting the retrofit will be well into the thousands which isn't worth it to me.

I had to replace some LED headlights on a past vehicle, those suckers cost a bit under $2k a piece. They were adaptable so I’d imagine the “new” Y lights will be very similar in cost.

Definitely only OG headlights still on Model Ys in the lot today. Just picked ours up and ably saw model 3s with the new lights.

Are model 3 and Y headlights the same? I guess we got to wait until there are total'd 3's to scavenge.

I looked and used model y headlights are like 300ish. Now i guess whenever they become available, hopefully, it is direct swappable, which now I am starting to think might not be the case since there will be new electronics to control. shame.
