Tesla is now selling merchandise that celebrates the embarrassing, failed demonstration of the shatterproof windows in the Cybertruck.
The company’s store now offers the Cybertruck Bulletproof T-shirt, which features a print of the same shatter pattern that the Cybertruck prototype suffered.
“Designed for exceptional comfort and inspired by the Cybertruck unveil event, the Cybertruck Bulletproof Tee is made from 100% cotton and features our signature Cybertruck icon on the back,” the item description says.
During the presentation in November, Tesla Chief Executive Elon Musk touted the bulletproof toughness of the windows. Then Tesla’s head of design Franz von Holzhausen heaved steel ball at the window, which shattered. Musk looked shocked. He asked for a second test, which also resulted in the steel ball smashing a window.
Musk promoted the $45 shirt on Twitter, commenting that it is “bulletproof & makes u buff!”
