Production begins "2020". You know that means for Tesla. That's 3 years away. It's a future car. So, don't get too excited.
But at least it's a properly ambitious future car.

Where do they fit the 200 kWh batt?

Well it doesn't come out for another 1.5+ years so they use 2170 cells from 2019 with better density than the 2017 style cells in the Model 3.

They also cram them into a similar sized car with less rear seat passenger space and likely a smaller trunk.

I wouldn't put anyone over 5'2" in the rear seat.

Well, I have to cancel my Semi reservation now.

I ordered 1 of each. I can back the Roadster out of the Semi and do doughnuts in the truck stop parking lot, while waiting for my megacharge.

So a huge benefit to the central seating arrangement in the Semi is that they don't have to make separate LHD and RHD units. That's pretty huge for international shipments.

I'd say no, it's just less seat/cargo space
