I was thinking the same thing...where is the Semi going to be built? if the first deliveries are in 2 years or less that means there has to be an existing factory somewhere. CA is built out, the Gigafactory in NV is in work, and Gigafactory 2 in NY is building solar panels.
I've heard the NV Gigafactory, but nothing official yet. That would seem to make the most sense to me, as they definitely have the land available for a quick build out there, plus the batteries on site (a large increase will be required anyway, so you can built two birds without getting stoned... don't like to kill them).
With Tesla’s guidance on capex and R&D spend this year they aren’t equipping a facility this year or building the Beat prototypes for test, so the earliest they’ll be able to roll out Semi is late next year.
