A Tesla Semi loaded with a fresh load of Model 3 sedans is a happy site.
Twitter user @Emanuelreyes managed to capture that scene this week at Tesla’s factory in Fremont, Calif. The new cars are rolling out of the factory for delivery ahead of the close of the second quarter.
It was particularly interesting to see Tesla using the Semi to help with the delivery rush. Tesla said during its Q1 earnings call that the Semi is set to begin deliveries in 2021. It would make sense for Tesla to give the trucks a real-world shakedown before the first batch goes out to reservation holders.
In an email to employees earlier this month, Chief Executive Elon Musk said “it’s time to go all out and bring the Tesla Semi to volume production.”
