Tesla Shop shipping time is ridiculously slow

Ordered 2 cabin filters on Aug 5. Shipping to VA.

8/6 shipment info sent to Fedex
8/8 picked up in Newark, CA
8/8 arrived at Fedex location in Tracy, CA
8/10 left Tracy CA
8/11 in transit Manteca, CA
8/11 in transit Truckee, CA
8/12 in transit Grouse Creek, UT
8/12 in transit Larimie, WY
8/13 in transit Kearney, NE
8/13 in transit Clinton, IA
8/14 in transit Northlake, IL (that's today)

And still says delivery expected in VA by end of day today, which is obviously not going to happen.

It's shaping up to be two weeks shipping time at least. Do they have the worst FedEx contract ever?

I don't recall there being any other option than free shipping, but I'd have gladly paid to get it in a few days rather than two weeks.

This is a case of YMMV. I have ordered multiple things from the Tesla shop and it's usually less than 5 days from order to delivery. I live in the Southeast.

You realize it's not Tesla being slow? It's the carrier they're using being slow. FedEx ups? USPS? If the latter, there's a political *sugar* storm right now regarding that so I won't bring politics to this forum.

Just read your FedEx mention. Maybe they chose FedEx ground because Tesla is pretty cheap on anything these days.

They didn’t even pick it up until 3 days after I placed the order (which is on Tesla, not Fedex).

And the progress seems like not even Fedex ground speed. It’s probably like Fedex freight.

Is that on Tesla or Fedex? Looks like they sent the info to Fedex the following day.

My wall connector was supposed to be delivered 9/2. It’s now either sitting in the warehouse 20 minutes down the road or was stolen. FedEx Service absolutely useless. Electrician coming next Friday for install. Praying it gets here before then. Car being picked up Saturday.

I've ordered two things from the shop. A tee shirt (which I will wear the day I take delivery) and a Wall Connector. Both were delivered within a reasonable timeframe.

Of course; people are more prone to complain than they are to comment on routine.

I live 3 miles from where my order shipped and it's still in transit with FedEx one week later with "pending" delivery date.

Wait until you order something from overseas. Average delivery time for me has been 10+ weeks. Yup. 2.5+ months for the past 4 months..
