2022.12.3.3 installing now... probably the "recall" one.

Might only apply to those with recently built vehicles.
I have a suspicion that they do not really make that distinction. When they had the recall about the external speaker sounds for cars, my car was among the first ones getting that recall update, yet my car does not even have external speaker, as mine came out before those speakers got added to the cars.

LOL. Tesla. Sigh. US and Europe get to self repair. APAC does not.

Signed up for the free manuals using a foreign address, which worked (it doesn't seem to know which region your Tesla account is associated with). Alas, I don't trust it to block non-EMEA vehicles for the toolbox subscription, I'm not going to shell out $3k for an experiment of that sort. I did notice they have a feedback address [email protected] - so I tried sending an email to APACIndependentRepair. It wasn't just undeliverable, but:

550 5.4.1 Recipient address rejected: Access denied. AS(201806281) [BN8NAM11FT056.eop-nam11.prod.protection.outlook.com]

We don't even get to inquire when we might get access to service subscriptions here...

And sure enough: instructions from the service manual to put my car into service mode do not work. Region block asshattery is alive and well in 2022.

I should have taken notes after sitting in the car late last year when I took it in for its first service to explain one of the issues they needed to look at. The Tesla rep put it into service mode and I saw the steps and thought “well that is pretty easy”. But of course I now can’t remember the steps 🤣.

Welcome to the forgettery!
It's like when you eventually find a way around a Windows "feature" and them a week later the same "feature" recurs - do you have any idea the steps you had to take......

EMEA support responded:

For now we do not have any news about when the services will become available in Australia.
The website will be continuously updated as more information becomes available.

Why do people need to go into service mode? What does it allow you to do?
Because some of us are interested in exploring how the technology we use works under the hood. Some of us even think that having bought a product, we have a right to fix it when it's broken ourselves, or have another third party (and not necessarily Tesla) fix it, or, heaven beware, improve the product over what they want us to have!

It'll come, but I'm not sure if I'd use the option. When regeneration is turned off you'll typically see a warning, and then you drive to compensate by giving yourself a longer run-down distance and use the brakes only if really needed. My concern with the option is that it'd apply the brakes more often than you would - to be tested.

Anyone notice the entertainment system has been pretty *sugar* since 2022.12.3.12? I'm on 2022.16.0.3 right now and there still issues.
Never had any problems with these in previous software versions

Issue: phone doesn't connect to bluetooth automatically. Need to manually connect every time I want to make a call, text or listen to music

Issue: music no longer autoplays or picks up from where it left off. I only use radio, internet radio and spotify. I mainly use spotify and it always used to pick up from exactly where I left off as soon as I opened the door. Now it doesn't and I need to start my playlist again every time. Oddly, pressing the left scroll wheel causes it to pick up exactly where I left off, but the song is not displayed on the screen. Just "please select media"

Anyone else having these issues?

Same here on 16.0.3

So, I have been holding off opening a Service Request for my car since the last firmware update as every now and then I have had a bad firmware but it usually gets fixed by next firmware. Now this 2022.12.3.2 has been really the worst one I have had so far. So I have been daily checking for updates to see if there is a newer one available. I have also been restarting the car at least once or more times a day to manage the issues with this software. Now strangely last week Friday appeared to be the last time it actually checked for firmware updates. I have restarted and shut down for the nights the car since then multiple times. Every time I go to check for the new firmware it shows for a few seconds that its checking for updates, however now it always gives me the same response, that "Your car software is up to date as of 27 May 8:06 pm" so the date and time as of when it was up to date no longer gets updated since then.
Has anyone else seen this issue and would anyone know if it still checks for updates actually or if I need to cave and log a service request with Tesla to get them to have a look at this?
