Tesla Solar with knobs and tubes wiring

Hi,

My house has old knobs and tubes wiring currently.

If I sign up Tesla Solar (roof or panel), would/could Tesla crew work on the wiring upgrade as well?
Or I should find some other electrician to upgrade the house first before getting Tesla Solar?

You can get them to upgrade your main panel but they won't run new cables through the house. Get a professional that only replaces knob and tube for that. I've got knob and tube in most of my house but it's still in pretty good shape. It was required and Tesla wouldn't do it but I'm replacing my standard breakers with arc fault breaker that are knob and tube wiring.

There are more than a few electricians in your area who can rewire your house. The house wiring really isn't Tesla's issue. Your main service panel will be. I would strongly encourage you to make sure that you get a 225A "solar ready" main panel when you rewire the house, along with a whole house surge protector in the main panel.
