Tesla still delivers cars with moisture in reverse light housing!

Just saw this thread. Mine has the moisture in there. I just ignore it. I only notice when I wash the car. Bugs me, but not enough to worry about it.

I guess I'll add this to the list for the next time it's at the SC. Hopefully soon for the retrofit.

I had the new, revised appliqué installed at my annual service a few weeks ago. The increased relief on the TESLA letters looks good and I'm glad the issue is finally resolved! It's a drop-in replacement for the most part.

I have this problem including bugs in the lights. Waiting for Tesla SC to get parts in. Currently backordered.

We took delivery of our 70D in July and it had moisture in the housing.

I had no idea it was a recurring issue. When I pointed it out to our DS, he stated it was just moisture that was trapped because "they'd just unwrapped the car."

When we got home (70 miles) and the moisture had subsided, I also noticed there were cracks in the light itself - both on the rear and side portions of the light. We called them immediately so it could be noted in our record and repaired the next time we came that direction.

I thought the moisture was due to the cracks - but maybe they were two separate issues? Incidentally, we did have the light replaced with no issue and there hasn't been moisture since.

Just had our service center replace the rear applique on my wife's June 2015 S70D for the condensation issue (she just missed the revision). The new one has no 2nd clear lens. Looks fine. All good.
