Been looking for all weather mats. I look at the tesla store every morning and today all prices are up about 25%... Is Tesla shooting themselves in the foot?
@a1machinista1 ....Double check that you are not looking through the Canadian site. I just spot checked a few items from the USA site and they seem the same. Sometimes TESLA automatically thinks I am Canadian and directs me in that way. I don't think I am nice enough of a guy to be Canadian.
I honestly don't remember who makes them. They are thin and mark up easily, so constantly look scuffed and dirty. They are the exact size of the carpeted mats that come with the car, so provide no extra coverage that, imo an "all weather mat" should provide. IMO they are no better than mats from Walmart.. in fact, I have bought mats before from Walmart ( for my Jeep) that were higher quality.
I have since gotten the 3D Max mats for my 3 - these are everything I would expect in an "ALLLLLL Weather mat" LOVE these.
*ps--- if Tesla mats were $25, THEN would I say they are worth the money. They are NOT worth $145.
Agreed, It's the NC RED CLAY (Lake life... and sand... and pine needles... and pine cones.. and tree droppings.. that annoy me!.. right, winter isn't too bad- maybe two good squalls a year. I hate the OEM mats because the gravel and small bits of things can creep under it. I like more coverage. Go big or go home! Heh heh
I have the opposite opinion. I've had both the 3D Maxpider and Tesla all weather mats. I strongly prefer the Tesla mats. To me, they look simpler/cleaner, do not have the shiny 3D logo, and are easier to clean.
We have two teenagers into outdoor sports. The Tesla weather mats worked just fine for us. We like them. But then it doesn’t snow here and we don’t get crazy rain.
