I had to go back and review the spots where AnxietyRanger gave credence to this particular statement, and received extremely harsh pushback from some members. We can all learn something about heel digging from this.

Looks like Tesla and SpaceX are accumulating more examples of that painful reality I've become far too aware of as I get older -- if you want it done right, do it yourself.

Good question for the upcoming shareholder meeting. I have had a deposit for years now.

Thank you Greg Worthington whoever/wherever you are... you have more patience and tact than I do.

I remember much disrespect to Eds and TSLA was $274 that day. Should have listened more objectively down 25% since then and actually would have had gain 100% on margin if shorted

Ouch. That would definitely explain some of the delays with the X. I do remember that thread with Eds about the Model X delays. I also remember lots of people giving him a hard time over it.

While I can understand people being protective of Tesla, this is a good reminder that taking a more objective look at things is much better than instantly dismissing any criticisms leveled at the company.

Eds made it difficult to objectively view the information by the way he presented it.

This is very true and looking back, was my main objection to his posts. He started with a question and then his second post was a list of detailed failures. He escalated so rapidly that it was hard to take him seriously. Still, he was pretty spot on.

I wonder if he could chime in on when mine will enter delivery? Eds? Eds?!!

Well he did say < 200 cars. I Can't help but think someone out there took this as a personal challenge ;) :p

On a more serious note, to me the real shame is it seems we had someone that actually had some real intel on the situation, was prepared to share it (though probably in violation of NDA), and then crowd then jumped in and it all turned into a real mess.

That was then, and this is now. I've noticed a marked change here on TMC in terms of objectivity and balance over the last 6 months. If anything the coming to fruition of many of Ed's comments is probably a catalyst. (Though there have been some other pretty milestone threads too recently.)
