From Jessie (Tesla Hong Kong Club liaison): Tesla Hong Kong Club is growing larger and larger, let’s meet the others for a nice drive in a Sunday Morning! We can start from Kowloon to northern New Territories, eat simple breakfast in the remote village and explore the very north of Hong Kong. Date: 8th July, 2012 (Sunday) Time: 7:00 am (set off at 7am sharp) Meeting point: Car park of West Kowloon Waterfront Promenade End point: Tai Mei Tuk (Point B) Route: West Kowloon Waterfront Promenade (Point A) – Route 3 – Route 8 – Route 9 – Tolo Highway/Route 9 – Yuen Shin Rd – Ting Kok Rd – Tai Mei Tuk Car Park (Point B) (Optional activity): The Sunday Morning Drive officially ends at Breakfast in Tai Mei Tuk, however, if you are interested to extend your driving experience, you may continue driving from Tai Mei Tuk to Luk Keng (Point C). The hilly road there is famous for its extraordinary driving fun among driving masters. Yet, due to the same reason there are many policemen and speed cameras around. Tesla HK would like to recommend you to drive below speed limit if you decided to go on. The experience drive shall last for 20 minutes round-trip. Overview: A - Starting Point: West Kowloon Waterfront Promenade B - End Point: Tai Mei Tuk Car Park (about 40 mins’ drive from point A) C – (Optional) Experience Drive: Luk Keng (about 20 mins’ drive round-trip B to C to B) Route: West Kowloon Waterfront Promenade Car Park: Tai Mei Tuk Car Park: Reference: West Kowloon Waterfront Promenade map: http://www.lcsd.gov.hk/parks/wkwp/en/locationplan.php Route: http://goo.gl/maps/5rUW For enquiries, call Kenneth or Jessie if you have trouble finding the place. Thank you very much and look forward to seeing you there! P.S. OVMS Social Group "SUNDAYDRIVE" for anyone suitably equipped.
A beautiful day, with 8 Roasters turning up at the crack of dawn for a traffic-free sunday drive through Hong Kong. 7 had the top down - as it should be. We ended up with a Dim Sum breakfast, and a carpark demo of OVMS
Great pics of the cars ! but where are the group pics of the proud drivers and pics of sitting down to eat together. It would be good to add the human element....
Thanks Mark! Mmmmm, looks yummy. I love yum cha  Didn't anyone take a photo of all your happy smiling faces after a fun day driving with the tops down?
Yep. I saw a couple posted to the participants. But, I'm not sure if it should be posted here (in public). I guess it is ok to post pictures of people's cars, and the food they ate, but is it ok to show their faces without approval? Netiquette...
