Tap the supercharger pin and you’ll see the max output reported. Anyway as a practical matter there’s less difference than you think. Regular superchargers are paired and urban superchargers are not. What there is to do near the supercharger is a lot more important in choosing where to stop than whether it’s a regular or urban supercharger.

Until they’ve actually started moving dirt at a new site, the map of future Supercharger sites is just guidance as to what their aspirations might be. Don’t count on a specific site at any point in time. Appreciate the ones that do get installed instead of lamenting the obviously missing site that would mean the most to you. Some sites have gotten scrapped (or at least put on hold) between the time that building permits are approved and construction actually started.
For a specific site it impossible to determine. Site selection, local permitting , contractors and unforeseen site issues all factor in to when a site will become operational. Because we travel a fair amount I watch the process on this forum. Some sites literally come online without any warning while others sit in permitting for a year.
Assuming you're not a newb and timing your superchargers on a trip, it's more than 60% faster to land on a real supercharger.
The map of planned superchargers has always been more aspirational than informational. Here in Texas we’ve had Ft. Stockton and Wichita Falls coming this year or next year every year since about 2014.

Not sure how you want to count it but the SC at Columbus TX is believed to be moving.

The existing site at a hotel is on lowland next to a river, and gets flooded frequently. It is quite old, one of the first sites outside of California and only 6 stalls.
I was by the new site a week ago and there is now construction taking place. Please note that 7 days ago, I did not see any equipment marked "Tesla" and did not verify that it was for superchargers. It would be good if somebody driving by on I-10 could stop by and report.
This location and status is also not reflected on supercharge.info .

After I posted the table above, Tesla changed the "Summer 2018" locations on the map to 2019. It was not unexpected since Tesla's aspirations for the supercharger network always greatly exceed the speed at which they can execute the build-out. The slowdown to achieve profitability in the 3rd quarter is apparently over, as the pace of permitting and construction is increasing now. Still, figure less than half of the 2019 stations will be built by the end of 2019.
Have there been any leaks/guesses/etc. on the "next gen" supercharger? I recall that the initial roll-out was originally scheduled to start in the summer, and then that was pushed out to "end of year." Increase in power output to ~200kW or more is what I recall, with a note that older cars wouldn't be able to take advantage of that.
With the pre-announcement, I would have thought there'd be some additional hints coming out...

While it's certainly coming, I have a strong suspicion that development of the V3 Supercharger system was put on the back burner while the company pushes hard for profitability. I'm sure it's still coming, but I wouldn't expect much news until 2019.
Pure speculation: Announcement in early 2019 with most/all superchargers built from June on taking advantage of whatever advancements they announce. Might also be tied to a Tesla Semi/megacharger update. Urban chargers will stay the same.
Potentially a slow rolling upgrade of existing sites to the V3 tech as needed. This would depend on them having foresight to overbuild recent locations so it doesn't require new excavations/trenching and new cabling. Doubt that is the case.

I don't see a compelling need for V3 Supercharger until the Roadster 2020 is released. Sure, Model 3 LR might charge a little faster, but absent a 2170 cell revision to S and X, there's not a compelling need for it before the new Roadster.
Presumably there is a team focused on the Superchargers. So they should be doing something with design, etc all the time. Maybe design is done and testing is still underway. Future proofing things is very difficult more than 1 generation ahead.
