I have a CDL. Donāt use it hardly at all anymore but I still wound want my seat on the left. Used to gauging the centerline there by instinct. Among other things.Or they just want to bish about anything Tesla no matter what because they know nothing about a product because it has not launched yet.
Ill remove your name from the potential purchase list.I have a CDL. Donāt use it hardly at all anymore but I still wound want my seat on the left. Used to gauging the centerline there by instinct. Among other things.
Yes its been said I the past same AP systemDid they mention AP at all with these trucks? I assume it's not permitted for a CDL to use, was just curious if they built it to use in the future if not on release.
1,000V Powertrain?
The other huge question is how much the truck weighs by itself. Hauling potato chips was a smart initial mission as those are volume limited, not mass limited. But there are a limited number of those types of loads. The truck will need to be able to haul a 45k trailer while staying under 80k total weight or the economics will be much harder.
This is going to really hurt Rivian etc all, whileling away at Endless Anxiety chargers at one third the speedSo, the Semi has 1,000V architecture as does the Cybertruck. It was mentioned that the CT will be able to use the same 1MW charger as the Semi or (my guess)the new V4 Supercharger.
Why do you ASSUME itās significantly less payload?Presentation said was 81k gross lbs but not how much the cab vs the payload so I would assume significantly less payload than a diesel truck. On the other hand, for many fleets like Pepsi, their loads have more volume than weight so ok ( pop weighs a lot but chips weigh nothing). Since starting from 0% of truck market, if only can address a third of truck market, still huge.
I read somewhere it was almost 45KThe rules are 82K for EV Class 8 trucks.
Read somewhere the payload is a bit under 40k lbs
V4 verifiedSo, the Semi has 1,000V architecture as does the Cybertruck. It was mentioned that the CT will be able to use the same 1MW charger as the Semi or (my guess)the new V4 Supercharger.
82k is the Federal limit, 81k was the actual weight during their test run.82k gross lbs.
Because batteries weigh a lot. Others posts have said payload 40k to 45k.Tesla didnāt say during the presentation so forces one to assume until they publish specs. Why do you ASSUME itās significantly less payload?
