I certainly hope so. I am still 200 miles from the nearest service center and they no-longer support a ranger option.

Having information, manuals, assembly and wiring diagrams, currently restricted (paywall in Massachusetts) out in the public is a positive step.

However THE key tools, currently not available outside Tesla are the software diagnostic tools ... essential for cars not only controlled by software, but also totally dependent on it.

I am sure if these tool are out in the public, then self diagnosis and repair of core battery, pem and vdu would be possible. But in the wrong hands, like any software (only as good as the inputs/operator) could be disastrous. Still, there could be opportunities for suitably qualified and experienced electronics/software engineers (or ex- Tesla guys ?) to set up 3rd party, Tesla specialist repair business'. Such companies could relieve pressure on Tesla themselves, as well as offering more value and perhaps specialist Roadster knowledge, which is diluting rapidly within Tesla.

At the moment I can't even get the Roadster lift adapters (despite the user's manual saying they are available front the local SC) so ink believe this when I see it.

    They are easy to do
I use 2pcs wood pieces 95x95x165mm and they work verry well with my car lift

You can do what Stefan does, which actually works on more lifts that Tesla's adapters, or you can have some made for a lot less than Tesla used to sell them for. There's a thread containing the CAD files.
