Hmm, maybe options savvy Tesla longs should write a bunch of these $20 puts for March. If we bought enough of these, that would dilute theta pressure on stock price. Good chance they'd all expire worthless anyway.

We are retail. That would be manipulation.

If you believe, as I do, that TSLA will be 2K+ a share in a few years, days like today are a short term bummer, but long term insignificant blip.

True, althought the new 400K limit would again be applied only to U.S. sales. However, once Giga Berlin is operational later this year, the vast majority of Tesla Fremont production will be sold in the U.S. (and likely about half of the refreshed S/X). So call it about 1 year's worth to get 400K U.S. Tesla sales.

Of course, that's before Giga Texas comes online in 2022Q1.

Seems like Tesla won't actually need any incentives once the 4680 cells are coming at the rate of 200GWh/yr in 2022...

Everytime I drive by Giga Texas, I marvel at how the largest car factory on earth is developing fast and taking shape largely unnoticed by the rest of the world. It’s really a sight to see, it looks perfectly capable of going starting producing some cars in Q3 or 4 this year.
