depends what you mean by automatically. If you mean “will the irs automatically notify you you owe more than you said when you filed taxes”, probably.

otherwise it depends on your broker as to whether it shows up in your brokers gains and losses

edit: for clarity I’m not suggesting you incorrectly file taxes to figure it out. You should make sure you files correctly when you file
