Seems all non-core European markets are closed for Model 3 orders. Means countries where they don't have service centers or those who have to choose "other Europe" on their website.

Should definitely open in San Marino and Iceland :)

I am sure the fine people of San Marino can visit the Bologna store without much trouble.

The 56 American cities with greater than 330k residents also, by and large, are not in isolation. In other words, you don't need 56 stores to service them.

Gordon the moron is kinda comical.

Does he even manage some fund that actually shorts TSLA at all?

No idea, I thought he was just an absurd, joke character that was invented by the news agencies to babble inane garbage.

Seriously, if you actually waste the time to listen/read, it's utter nonsense. I refuse to accept that he possibly believes any of it, it's just an act.

Not sure if anyone worked this out yet... Tesla delivered 191,627 vehicles in USA 2018 according to InsideEVs.

(the 245,420 number is worldwide deliveries)

Total vehicles delivered in the USA = 17,270,000
Phil LeBeau on Twitter

I believe this means Tesla's 2018 marketshare in the USA was 1.1%. Not bad!

And Tesla delivered more EV's than all other manufacturers combined. Total figure on InsideEV's 360,273, so around 53%

Um... did you perchance miss the part about how Iceland - where the vast majority live in a single metro - in 2017 bought 40% as many EVs as the entire country of Italy?

How much overhead do you think it costs to serve 40% of Italy? Versus a single metro area?

Sorry for my sarcasm not getting across. If I were looking to open in a new country, I would not look at countries with 30 or 300 thousand citizens first. Would look for big+wealthy, not just wealthy.

OK, new 8K:

SEC Filing | Tesla, Inc.

It sounds like confirmation that the leases that were securitized made plenty of room for Tesla to lease more cars. As of right now I guess that means they have like $800 million less debt but since that debt was supported by leases it really doesn't make a difference to anything. Well other than the ability to continue leasing cars.

Hey, last time(circa October, 2018) this price action took a week after P/D numbers. I’ll take the win.

This. Also, I'm thankful for the dive - it let me get some cheap 15 Feb '19 $300s. Their intrinsic value gain has nearly paid off the premium already, with tons of time (and the Q4 report!) yet ahead :)

I know I'm not the only one to make use of the lows.

OT:
When are we going to see Model 3 lease options for US market?

Would answer all demand issues and also sell more of the higher premium items?
