I believe that Tesla would also need to reach another performance goal. Either one of the following would qualify:

1. $1.5B Adjusted EBITDA
2. $35B Annual revenue

View attachment 507545

But the Adjusted EBITDA is already $2.985B, so the $1.5B level has already been hit. He is clear for the second level upon hitting the market cap of $150B metric.

Then the Adjusted EBITDA should hit in Q1 for the next level. Then the revenue will have to go up from the current $24.5B to $35B, which might take a little longer.

It's not our fault shorts decided to push down SP for years, this is where it was always going to be once the market figured out the EV transition was real.

The move is only so abrupt because they chose to compress the spring.
I think we also owe Jag, Audi, BMW, etc. a big thank-you for their help. Not sure how to express my appreciation to them, though.

I keep wondering how far this thing can run, but coming to the realization that weak longs are being bought out by big names and investment firms, these guys are here for the 2024 evaluation and going to hold their position. There’s a lot of comfort in realizing that, Many have made this correlation already but I’m really understanding what is happening today.

And the short volume was listed as only 55.9% today:

So it seems they were trying hard to hold it down.

Could you guys please revisit the calls(spreads?) Tesla issued to limit the dilution from loans?

Are they guaranteed to sell those in Q1 given the price runup and (I believe) limited upside???

At assumed 50% IVM the calls Tesla bought are worth $6,245m and the warrants it sold are worth $4,173m.

Theoretically they could raise $6.2bn cash today from closing their calls if they wanted to, and suffer double dilution (from both converts and warrants) on maturity.
I don't think they will sell the calls. I presume they think they are still undervalued so why sell.

I have GOT to scrape together some dry powder before this summer. If what some of you have been saying is true, S&P could be epic.

BTW, thanks again to all you retail analysts who convinced me to add shares before Q4 delivery report (12/20, that lot is up 90%) and before Q4 earnings report (1/23, up 37%). I had to do some creative financing and will be recovering from that for a while, but daaaaammm.

You have earned your not-commission for your not-advice.

Question:
I wonder how much of the share price rise today was a result of 4 EV ads during Super Bowl thereby adding more validation to the market?
I know of three, Hummer, Porsche, and Audi. I'd assume the 4th was Ford but we all know what happens when we assume so I will leave that out of my response. For the other three:

Hummer: Doesn't exist yet and people speculating inadequate battery supply
Porsche: Less than expected range and higher than expected price, everything else looks good
Audi: We've seen the sales numbers on this one and it is not good at all

Not to mention, nobody has the supercharger network like Tesla does.

I think instead of adding more validation to the market it actually added more validation that Tesla is at least 8 years ahead of anyone else (still no car on the road that can match the range of the 2012 Model S)

Saw that TSLA is more than CAD 1,000 today.

I bought a couple of shares three year back. I am too conservative or too scared to go all in.

As of today TSLA overtook APPL as my largest holding. That is quite an achievement as I hold 2.5 times as much APPL stock and APPL did not do too bad last year either. People who made a whole annual salary today, amazing! To be honest, I am probably just as happy as you guys with my gains. It is just fun to see that things that you foresaw to happen actually starts to pan out. Whether you position is 10, 50,100, or even 5,000 shares it really doesn't matter.

I also wonder if it is possible that Jim Chanos get a margin call too.
