Those in favor of advertising: take note.

Elon is the master. He let Joe talk up the car to his viewers. It's priceless. And it cost nothing but a couple of hours of Elon's time. Elon works all the time! You can't listen to Joe talk about how crazy good his car is without wanting some of that magic sugar yourself!

The notion that Tesla has ever had a demand issue or a need to advertise to drive demand has never made sense — not one little bit.

In my mind, the idea to advertise Tesla’s Master Plan and the benefits it is providing to the environment and mankind, make great sense. I also believe Tesla is uniquely positioned to tell that story. A story the world sorely needs to hear; a story that needs to be told with reflection and careful consideration.

Furthermore, I believe that Elon is connected to the right people in Hollywood — producers, writers, directors, and actors — the folks that could do an amazing job. Those that would evoke all things good and decent; a worthy endeavor to inspire our finest aspirations.

I've never driven a P100D but I can tell you that driving my Performance Model 3 for the first time was an eye-opening experience! The P100D just takes it to a higher level.

And if that doesn't shake your world up, you might not be a normal human!

off topic unpopular opinion...your car is better.

My mother in law has an S P100DL...not Raven, I hate that car. Stupid fast and stupid boring. First Tesla I’ve ever driven and was totally bummed. I decided to try the “cheap” Model 3 when it came out. Bought it that day. The only car in the world I’d trade my boosted AWD for, McLaren F1 aside, is yours, a P3.

PS I obviously copied my TV setup from Rogan. It’s like Elon is in my room. lol Photo doesn’t give a good sense.

FYI, honor student from grade 6 thru 12, including calculus.

I’m simply not interested in knowing all my distant cousins nor upping my friend count. So, it’s 68. Final answer.

Pheuw. I was simply worried about getting a limit to zero might involve amputation. I know, far fetched, but we worry about you too, Mother Hen!

I think its possible tesla will hit 1200 next month personally

The current share price is a joke. A conservative estimate of Tesla's revenue for 2021 will be 50 billion. The stock is currently trading at less that 3X next years revenue. For a growth company . Margins will likely average 30-33%(including credits) in 2021, maybe even higher if FSD makes big advancements which will lead to higher FSD adoption rates.

If Tesla was being valued like other growth stocks and people actually believed next years revenue, we should already be trading in the 1,200 level with our way to 1,500 before Q3 starts.

Owning a Tesla is an important component of my own investment thesis. A test drive is a minimum requirement, but owning one helps with the long term buy and hold.

Because owning one, you can't help but realize that yes - the product matters. And OMG what a product.

I own two now :). For extra reinforcement of my buy and hold investment(*).

(*) that's a lie, but it sounds good.

So much angst because of the interview. I’m excited. Going to be a good day full of laughter one way or another. Will take my mind off my very painful back that kept me up all night because I can’t get a massage. Maybe I’ll go golfing. Grrr...

Tootling around Alameda County today;

Cake store open, masks, limited customers allowed in at once, social distancing.

Construction crew in parking lot; no masks, not social distancing.

Down the road, bloody carwash open - not the kind you sit in and go through but the kind where they do it by hand. PACKED. Everyone in masks, social distancing of car owners was um...lacking in some cases.

Landscaping crew, no masks, not social distancing.

Back is feeling no pain, thanks for asking - drugs to the rescue. Later I’m going to add alcohol.

No, a Model S is driving Finch. He is in the back seat.
Ha! I just watched it again, S5E12 entitled ".exe" and originally shown on June 14, 2016, and you are more than right! Finch (or Mr. Barnett for this scene) rolls down the right rear window, gets out and walks to the plane. Meanwhile, the valet looks from the rear to the front, shaking his head a bit, walks around to the front, opens the driver's door, and gets in to drive it away! There was no driver! Maybe The Machine was driving...

Very prophetic...

FWIW Rogan interview was for the most part positive. I don’t see any negative news highlights to come from it. Elon was far more comfortable this time around. Also, while I personally disagree with some of his COVID thoughts it was nice to hear him fully explain his thoughts and feelings on the matter. He seems to be of sound mind. This is a hold or buy event, not sell.

Also note that one of the biggest advertisers on Rogan is the Cash App which can be used for trading. I’m sure a good portion of Rogans audience of trillions dabbles in trading. This is certainly good from a retail buyer perspective.

Agree...this was a good interview for him. Whether you agree with his opinions on COVID-19 or not, he at least has a principled opinion on it backed up by reasoning.

Agreed. I mostly disagree with Elon on COVID (even though he made some actually good points in this interview imo), but it's reassuring to see that he has a coherent, defensible position on the matter, and wasn't just ranting mindlessly with nothing to back up his opinion during his twitter comments, which honestly seemed like a real possibility to me previously.
This is really good news for his decision-making ability in general in my opinion (I was getting worried in that regard during the last couple of days).

On the other hand: Why in the world didn't he just take the time to lay out his opinions on twitter in a more careful way? That would have been so much better from a PR perspective and would have avoided about 95% of this whole drama.

i wonder how @Krugerrand is to play with on the golf course?
a heckler?
prankster?
team player?
inspirational coach?

No to all of the above.

I started at 11 and was a serious player until 15. Lost my passion for the sport - too much pressure from a parent.

Okay, sold my ROKU today for a +50% gain. That starts my TSLA demand shares pot.

I don't know how long you've followed Elon but I would affirm that this is how he thinks, in general. While we may not always be privy to the explanation, there is a rational explanation with thought out reasoning behind what he says. Even being somewhat seasoned, last week came as a shocker but I sold nothing. You'll get used to it :p
This is not to say he is infallible but as a general rule doesn't spout complete nonsense.

PS Elon's up to 35.8 million twitter followers now up from 33.3 last week. How many of those people are going to buy a Tesla? Incredible.
I'll take a "stock is too high" 1 day dip in exchange for 500k fans any day.
