You gotta wonder though. According to some reports they seem to get only a few tens of thousands in bitcoins sent to their account. This can be tracked. Apparently it's customary for scams to send some themselves to make it seem like it's working so maybe not even that.

Why would they not buy Twitter puts, wait a week or two, then do this when the market is open? They would have made millions easily.

Half an hour later and Twitter has still not put a stop to these hacked tweets. They should be down much more than 4% in the AH.

They should be shut down TBH.
If they cannot even prevent tweets containing specific strings (the tweets all have the same text ffs...) from appearing on the network... then that suggests they are either:
a) no longer in any control over their network infrastructure whatsoever... meaning basically the whole company is 100% compromised and effectively now worthless
b) So useless that they cannot simply packet-inspect and reject tweets that are hacked.

Surely tweets have to go to, and through twitters internal network for verification?

If I owned twitter stock (luckily no!) I'd sell the lot first thing tommorow.

All right, as investors we should always be evaluating the competition. This actually looks interesting. It's a normal looking car, it has actual EPA claimed range of 300, and Nissan actually knows how to make and sell an EV having sold Leafs all this time. This looks like an actual possibly legit competitive car, the first I've actually seen from the ICE makers so far.

Late 2021 though, so Tesla has plenty of time to react.

Charging speed, charging infrastructure, and battery life are critical. There will be problems in at least one of those areas.

Musk really has to quit using Twitter unless there is some kind of 'guarantee' that his account can be secure. Otherwise, he is at the mercy of these scammers to post any Tesla 'news' they like.

This is not Elon/Tesla specific. This argument should be applied to everyone of societal significance. Whoever behind the hack is tweeting from many different accounts. This is scary. TWTR should be down a looot more right now.
