Not sure it's related. TSLA has just looked like it wants to burn upward all morning but MMs seem to be expending a lot of effort to hold it down. Seems more like they're starting to lose control.

There are very few US auto companies that I have any sympathy for. I don't know that much about the rest of the automakers around the world but we here in the US have watched our "Big 3" spend huge sums of money to bribe our politicians so they can keep doing business as usual. Instead of using the money to fund R&D and create cars that are more efficient, pollute less and are safer, they opt to spend their money to have the rules changed. I have no problem with Tesla crushing them as they have only brought this on themselves.

IF the tables were turned, I have no doubt that the "Big 3" would do everything in their power to sabotage Tesla.

I don't have to be privy to Elon's conversations with Trump. Trump is a moron and doesn't understand ANYTHING. He knows nothing about technology and I'd be surprised if he could turn on a computer. Trump also knows NOTHING about running a business, as has been proven time and time again. Asking or listening to Trump regarding manufacturing or selling anything is a fool's game and I can assure you that Elon wouldn't waste his time.

If you want to believe that Tesla decided to manufacture the Cybertruck in the US on Trump's advice, go ahead. It was a GIVEN the Cybertruck was to be manufactured in the US. Trump did nothing to influence that ... period.

Legacy lobbying against mpg improvement annoys me very much because of the message it portrays. "Our engineers are too dumb to meet this challenge". Very un-American.
