Oh wow this would be great!

Hey what do you call YouTubers like SMR and Rob M.? I’d like to see someone post a poll on the best places to get accurate info. There’s tons of people out there and right now I have to comb thru multiple postings to figure out what is true and what is bs.

For instance there is the Electric Viking, Teslanews, Bestintesla, Solving the money problem, Tesla daily, Torque news Tesla, E for electric, Transport evolved, Tesla Insight, Hyperchange, Sandy Munro, Dave Lee on investing, etc. Right now I only believe it if all these guys say the same thing. Really makes it time consuming to figure things out.

Some are good at just presenting the facts, some are really quoting rumors, some are just tesla fan boys with never bad news. I get tired of buys just saying over and over how great Tesla is and never validating bad news. I love Sand M and heard him praise Tesla and tear them apart when they do something wrong (engineering wise). He’s also not someone that I’d use to understand why my share price is stagnating if everything is so good.

I’d like to know who my TMC community trusts. The poll would probably require more than simple who do you like questions

Thoughts?

You left out my 2 favorites. Lars with “Best in Tesla” and my absolute favorite “The limiting Factor” by Jordan Guisicke(sp).

When you're a boxer, do you want to hit the opponent once really hard, or a few times with less force? That's really the difference you're referring to. (Note: I'm not a boxer and I don't know the correct answer to that question.)

The correct answer is, as with all sports, it depends.

Some boxers were famous for being KO specialists, their method was always to end the fight with one big punch. Mike Tyson is the most legendary for this, that guy could punch harder than any living human in his prime. Other boxers whose careers were based on knocking the opponent out included Evander Holyfield and George Foreman.

Other boxers are known for being more technical and winning fights on decision based on whatever it is boxing judges score. The most notorious of these is Floyd Mayweather Jr.

The reason why Muhammad Ali is considered the greatest is that he was both a surpassingly skilled technical boxer and he also had power to knock you out cold after he landed a good punch. There aren't that many boxers who have both power and skill like that, one man not named Muhammad Ali who had that combination was Oscar de la Hoya.

It’s interesting that Amazon announced a split pending shareholder approval, but Tesla announced increasing the number of shares for a potential future split. I wonder if this is to give the shorts two kicks in the butt rather than one. One now, and another when the actual split is announced. They could have announced the split today, but didn’t. There must be a reason. Or perhaps I’m missing something.

They couldn't have announced a split of greater than 1.9:1 since there are not enough authorized shares (only have 2B shares and roughly 1.1B are spoken for). So they either had to have to first get approval for more shares or announce a split pending approval for more shares... And they opted for the first approach

Up over 1,100 in pre-market:

Just for information.

First „general“ Made in Germany Model Y Performance deliveries in Mannheim ♥️

So...are you saying German law allows Tesla to sell these in Germany? Without shipping them across the border first? 🤪

This is one area that Germany could take some lessons from Texas in terms of developing some nice bureaucratic red tape to make capitalism less efficient.

My point is, Germany ain't got nothing on Texas! ;)

Oh, yeah?

The filing cannot be against Tesla, but against the authorities granting the permit.

Good luck finding anything in there .. they made extra precautions that this is no possibility. You all remember the "hearing" that was re-done because it was only 28 instead of 30 days & delayed everything 1-2 months? This was done because such lawsuits were expected & to give them no attack-surface.
They STILL have no attack surface - otherwise they would already have filed a lawsuit. They want to access all details in the hopes to find anything. And then go to court for 3 years providing FUD-Headlines until they have no further avenue. But then comes the next expansion-phase around and the cycle begins anew. :)

A litte anecdote about Building in Germany & Tesla-Speed:
I live in Bielefeld. To the north another big town is Osnabrück. They wanted to build an Autobahn to there. It was planned when my father went to Berufsschule (school accompanying your job-training) when he was 16. He will retire in a few years.
The part that was built ~10 years ago was the first 3(?) exits connecting west of Bielefeld to A2 via A33. The rest of the Autoban got opened 2 years ago. After 45(?) years. for around 50km of Autobahn.

People even bought land & homes in the way of the Autobahn - knowing it was planned. And then going to court over losing their stuff when it got build. It would have been an forever ongoing joke if laws haven't changed a bit. It is still messy. But it gets better. :)

But we are still not good at that. There are many prominent examples. Hamburg with its musical-thing (5x more costly and 10(?) years delayed?), Berlin with its airport (15? years late, 10x over budget, still not really open, already too small for Berlins needs, ..), Stuttgart with its underground train-station (they began .. but i guess it will take ~20 years, be awful and way way way over budget ..).

Tesla-Speed is a real wonder. VW plans a factory 1/10th of the capacity or so .. and plans on taking 5 years with it (optimistically).

Why could Tesla do that? Because they took abhorrent risks. Until this February they had to deposit 150 million with the state in case the final permit was not granted (to flatten everything again). All they build was "at their own risk". All others always wait for permissions & then build risk-free with noone interfering.
I think inside of the bureaucracy it changed A LOT of perceptions and many cities/companies try to emulate those things now for the local projects. That speed was nothing short of a "revolution" for the ordinary German being used to things taking years, going to court, etc. pp.

I knew today was too good to be true without any FUD...this one is especially funny:

There is ONE area the headline sorta is right-- a lower SP means YOLO calls are cheaper (and more will be able to be sold since there's X times as many shares out there to cover sold calls), and given how much of the options market TSLA is it's likely to just froth that even further.

Nobody holding LT will care, but will have some impact to folks who trade and play in the other thread.

They don't even understand what Tesla is going to do! Look at their web headline (repeated several times in the article);
"Tesla wants to split its stock so it can pay a stock dividend; shares gain"

That's not what they're doing at all!

That's exactly what they'd be doing when they split... Issuing a stock dividend. Same as last time.
