Thanks for the detailed model! There is also another thread that they would fit quite well: Near-future quarterly financial projections(Just so we're clear though. I'm a huge believer in FSD, and i think this will be somewhat priced into the share price. Tesla will probably always have a + 10-15 bonus in it's PE solely on the hope of the robotaxi network coming to fruition.)
Well, marked prices are based on expectations of future earnings. If tesla growth has fallen from 110%, to 48,5% to 29,3%, it wouldn't surprise me if the marked is pricing in growth following the same trajectory going forward. Given this trajectory 20% growth rate is only a few years away, which would make tesla hit 1,5x of future net income growth. Maybe the PE could be a few points higher, but either way the PE would only be a few years away from 30. It's fine to disagree on the PE though, as long as we're discussing the numbers for 2025. I also think the PE's in general will stay lower for the following years compared to what we've seen the last 5+ years.
I guess i could raise 2025 PE to 35 while still being slightly on the conservative side. Here's an updates version then. I've also dialed down the dilution.

China is not taking over the US. What's happening NOW is that US multinational manufacturers are realizing how unreliable China is getting, and are slowly moving their manufacturing elsewhere like south east Asia, and a lot of it actually back to North America (Canada, US and Mexico). This will take a decade to complete though. Don't know what gold has to do with it.
Texas wants help from Elon with their grid. Elon should say "sure, if you let us sell our cars here"
Texas Rep. asks Elon Musk to work with gov't to improve the US' power grid
TX Rep. wrote a letter asking Elon Musk for suggestions on how to strengthen the electrical infrastructure of the United States.www.teslarati.com
So they give the charger contracts to non Tesla entitiesIt's an olive branch, and I hope he takes it. Use it as an opportunity to educate this representative, and hopefully push the end goal for renewable transportation forward.
Elon is smart, hopefully he's learning how to play politics even quicker than he has been to build factories, rockets, etc.
Troy Nehls is the representative of my district. He ran his campaign with the promise of strengthening the oil and gas industry in TX. He has also opposed electric cars in the past with the excuse that the grid can't handle them. When the infrastructure bill was being debated, he focused on attacking the use of funds for electric chargers, and he received more campaign contributions from the oil and gas industry than from Republican donors. It's an olive branch, and I hope he takes it. I didn't want to mention it, but the other Black Swan event: the Chinese take over the US - they've already taken over most of Africa BTW, for the US it's be the unexpected variation of Lenin's famous words - "The (so-called) capitalists will sell us the rope by which we'll enslave them" - we already sold our tech to the Chinese in the 70's for short term profits (thanks GE leader of the trend genius not so genius after all Jack Welch).
They are well on their way to seriously challenging the USD, after having bought most of the (real) gold available. (We still don't know how much real gold is stored in Fort Knox BTW)
And we know our politicians can be bought for votes. The UAW currently. And (sorry to repeat for long time readers, but for newbies, always a good reminder): it's the Chinese gov who saved Tesla from the short term profit driven capitalists of the day, suicidal long term, but they truly don't care. They truly liberated Tesla from their dependence on the US capital markets.
The Third Black Swan event is more likely than both previous ones, curious to hear if anyone has any idea - message me privately.
Where's the life insurance step? Can I be the benefactor?Step 1: Buy 4680 SR Model Y
Step 2: Disassemble the battery pack with my torque wrench and hacksaw
Step 3: Sell each cell for ~ $500, $400,000 profit in all
Step 4: Buy 4 x 4680 Model Y. Repeat Steps 2 & 3 for $1.6 million
Step 5: Repeat 4x for $6.4 million
Step 6: $25.6 million
...
Step 15: $671 billion dollars and I'm the richest person in the world.
Remind me again where you can purchase fresh nuclear fuel rods & a run-on safety case off-the-shelf ?Every article that i have read says, that they are not going to cancel or postpone the closing. Sadly.
Apple will never move manufacturing out of China. At this point China is basically the contract manufacturing industry for the world's electronics.China is not taking over the US. And then he sees the favorable polls from his supporters for Elon and suddenly he has changed his tune. Politicians are spineless vote leeches. They have no beliefs and you shouldn't judge what they used to support to what they currently support. They have zero allegiance to anything except how to win votes.Troy Nehls is the representative of my district. He ran his campaign with the promise of strengthening the oil and gas industry in TX. He probably just wants to associate his name with Elon for political points. Tesla and Elon are not going to gain anything working with him.
100%? No.Apple will never move manufacturing out of China. At this point China is basically the contract manufacturing industry for the world's electronics.
100% of the world's phones, laptops, TV's, tablets, video game consoles, and every other consumer electronics product is made in China, or close enough (99.999%) to be rounding error for Other. And that isn't going to change as long as Tim Apple remains CEO and there's no reason that Tim Apple will stop being CEO while Apple is making record profits every single quarter.
I personally find that the West's complete dependence on China for their tech gadgets is quietly terrifying but just as with Europe and Russian energy, no one in the West will do anything about it until there is an actual crisis at hand.
It's by lottery only so most people will find it easier to attend the virtual event they are also running. You still need a statement or other proof from your broker so don't put it off too long.
Number should have been 200 and was corrected a few hours ago.@Papafox Where is that number coming from? (As that would be almost the entire labeling staff.) What I've read is that it was about 200 employees that were laid off.
