Looks like non-US car makers are pushing hard to get in on the IRA money

If this is considered over the long term it will bolster US sources of battery raw materials as the imported batteries will eventually be recycled. (likewise for the chassis materials) This expands the amount of the raw materials in the US over time at a rate that could exceed ramping up domestic mining, refining, and production.

It is like bringing the combined efforts of those foreign mines and materials processing facilities permanently to the US.

Not bad. Not bad at all.

The supercharging network gives tesla pricing power
over other EV manufacturers.
Yes, dependency is great and now energy distribution becomes the pivot shift for tesla if they can get solar to the sites or microwave wireless energy transfer, just saying (tinfoil hats or maybe graphene hats for sale TBD). Other traditional ICE manufacturers maintain pricing power over their customers with useless services visits--can't wait to see how they do this for their EVs.

So, you can either deal with it and come to terms or get rid of your Tesla and buy a slower charging EV so you can join the club.

Those are your current options other than planning your long distance trips in another manner. If/until Tesla is able to expand the charging network in your travel path.

You could also proactively contact Tesla and provide them with the necessary feedback to recognize the current issue. If you’re able to get a bunch of local Tesla owners experiencing the same issue and have them participate in the feedback that would likely be helpful.
Already worked on some of the mega charging with them directly so no need to contact them. Thank you for your helpful wisdom and after 20 years of driving EVs I will certainly take your advice and "join the club".

Can't wait until Texas is pushing out Cars this fast.

Who am I kidding. What I mean is Cybertrucks. I can't wait until Texas is pushing out Cybertrucks this fast.

Just another proof that the so-called Elon controversy is short-lived and the best products will sell. Below is the EV sales so far in Taiwan. Keep in mind only Model 3 is available for sale in Taiwan in 2022 as S, X and Y was not available until now. Even so, Tesla easily has 75% market share. The 10,000 Model Y order in a few weeks is just staggering.

Another interesting note is that during the presentation, Tesla mentioned that after Q4, there won't be any Model 3 imported from Fremont in the foreseeable future.

It's clearly not a demand issue but rather Tesla Fremont is going all in to focus in the US market thanks to the IRA.
