It's been known that QS is using a gel electrolyte not a true solid one. They don't like to talk about it of course.He says when they were observing QuantumScape's "solid state" batteries that they were more a "semi-solid" than actual true solid state battery. That was news to me.
Edit: I should note that I think Sandy is wrong about the comparison to QS, Tesla just uses minimal electrolyte but I'm pretty sure it's still liquid.
