Tesla 2019.32.10.1 software update:
I just installed this update yesterday and it is quite impressive. This may be Tesla’s largest update so far. Here are some of the primary features included in this comprehensive update.
“Smart Summon” and “Come To Me” features now available within the updated app - your car will now come to you from a distant parking space, navigating and turning itself through a parking lot, while avoiding humans, bicycles and other obstacles and waiting at intersections for traffic to clear, and continuing until it arrives right next to you.
Tesla autopilot improvements -
Traffic visualization - oncoming traffic is now visualized on the screen in normal mode and in zoomed out panoramic mode
- improved auto lane change with much better lane change indicators and visualization on screen
- screen zoom out function during autopilot use provides a more panoramic view of your car on the highway during autopilot use
- quicker and more responsive acceleration after car is automatically stopped or slowed down behind another vehicle while in traffic
Fun navigation updates - on screen buttons for “Hungry” or “Lucky” to take you to a randomly selected new destination for food or for entertainment/adventure.
Addresses or destinations entered on navigation screen now automatically show distances from your current location for each destination option listed on the screen.
Tapping on-screen destinations now provides a pop-up window for each destination or point of interest, that includes consumer reviews, address, hours, and telephone number, which you can tap for calling the destination.
Spotify - Spotify Premium users may now access their entire music library of playlists, albums, and specific songs from Spotify‘s selection of over 40 million songs. Each Spotify Premium user can have up to 10,000 songs in their own personal library.
Full screen HD video entertainment - Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, and Tesla Tutorial videos are now available when the car is parked, taking advantage of the high resolution screen and the car’s great audio sound system. All of this new video content is available over Wi-Fi or LTE.
New video games in Arcade
“Caraoke” - Tesla’s version of karaoke is available while parked or even while driving in autopilot mode, with a huge song database.
Tesla App updates -
“Smart Summon” and “Come To Me” features now available within the updated app
Can now remotely close or vent (crack) your windows from the controls page of the Tesla app.

There is no other automobile manufacturer that even comes close to Tesla’s owner responsiveness for adding new features, improvements, and updates on a frequent basis.
Full self driving mode is an extremely challenging goal that Tesla is working furiously to achieve. With complex parameters, such as decreased visibility and adverse weather conditions, road hazards, humans, animals, bicycles, road construction barriers and last minute lane changes, undulating terrain, congested traffic, decreased camera and visibility of the road ahead while within congested traffic or adverse weather, aggressive or inappropriate driving habits on the part of other nearby drivers, I am satisfied that Tesla is taking its time to take so many details into consideration, while developing and improving full self driving mode.
They have been beta testing it in Tesla employees’ vehicles for several months now, before releasing it to all prepaid FSD owners, and that is a necessary step considering Tesla’s liability and legal exposure in this new realm of full self driving capability.
You can never please all the people all the time, but Tesla is doing a pretty good job of shaking up the auto industry and striving for the eventual goal of autonomous driving.
