I don’t think it’ll be a lot. Haven’t gotten a check or or DOGE or TSLA or anything else yet.

I only remember a few days during one or two weeks during the late summer that weren't particularly hot or grid-stressing. I would guess that was more of a test than being operationally necessary.

They would not send out a 1099 unless it is over $600. when they would have to send one.

I hope they formalize this program and stipulate the payment in advance. Every time I looked at the signup page they didn't specify any payment. If they really pay $1/kWh, I will join.

Me too. But, that $1 enticement was just for proof of concept, I would think. I guess one way to find out is not to pay much for that export and see how well that works out.

I wonder if we will see this for other battery makers in California (since the tech seems to be there already in other states). Not sure how much Tesla took of a cut since he mentioned it in his video that other battery makers didn't seem to have to pay that bit.

I had several VPP events, but sadly did not note how many events or kWh I fed to the grid.
Not sure if there is any way to determine that from the App.
I have 2PW2+ with 4kWp Solar, and received my check for $35.17 today (dated 2/25).

You can use it to pay off your $32 a month solar tax under NEM 3.

$57.72 here. I didn’t participate in all of the VPP events but in retrospect it probably would have been OK to do that. I don’t think there’s an easy way to figure out how much one fed back to the grid.

How much control do you have over what is fed to the grid? Can you opt-out for a period of time since your solar production is low (we have shading issues)?
