Tesla Y Paint Protection Film removal

I'd like to buy Tesla Paint Protection Film for the rear doors of my new Tesla Y. I actually have a PPF appointment to body wrap the whole car booked, but it's a month away and I want to be able to drive the car without the risk of getting stone chips until then. Can anyone tell me if it would be easy to remove the Tesla Paint Protection Film from the doors after installed on the car for a short period of time?

What about using some cardboard and duck tape to protect the door panels until you can have your Model Y wrapped?

Yes PPF is easy to remove with heat/steam, I would just let the shop remove it prior to wrapping. It shouldn’t cost much for them to pull it as they’re small pieces.

Congrats on the new Model Y!
At XPEL we take extra care in removing ppf from vehicles. Sometimes we get cars with old wraps or wraps that have been damaged and need replacement. Any customer with ppf issues is always encouraged to bring their vehicles in so we can resolve the problem. Good luck and happy motoring! Post pics of the MY when its wrapped too! lol

I did not drive my car on the highway for weeks until I got ppf installed on my car. I drove 30 miles via the streets to my ppf appointment. lol
