We've taken road trip vacations where we pack bags for a whole week but only take a day bag into a hotel at night, and leave the rest of our bags in the car parked at hotels along the way. It's not a daily concern but it's definitely a concern. As you say, hopefully aftermarket solves the problem.

I am 6'4" and fit very well in the back seat. Rear door trim has a bigger gap than I thought it should, but it is even on both sides. Yes, cheese cake factory at fashion place mall having lunch.
Silver - thanks for all the great pix! can you please post a couple showing how the steering wheel, touchscreen, etc look from the drivers perspective. I just want to know if it really looks like an M3 or if there are interesting differences.
It probably still has the potential to add the cover to the hatch door. If this isn't provided by Tesla, I'm sure there will be some aftermarket solutions. We'll see!
