TeslaCam - Need Fat32 Utility that doesn't have a virus

Here are two well-known Windows tools (only download from the original URLs):

GUIFormat

Rufus

If you don't trust any 3rd part tools, you can also do it by entering the following in the Windows command line (replace 'X' with the drive letter of your USB drive):

format /FS:FAT32 /Q X:

If you have a Mac, you can simply use the stock Disk Utility.

I would be careful about using EaseUS. It may be fine, but the company is based in China and some users have reported possible malware. Free software isn't always good software. I don't know one way or the other, but I couldn't find anything negative about the one from Ridgecrop (GUIFormat suggested in post #4). That is the one I used, and it seemed to work fine.

The way I do it, i open a command window as Administrator (windows). Run diskpart.exe

Then do: List Disk
Find your drive number that you want to format
Then type: select disk 1 (for example)
Please make sure that you select the proper disk or else you may blow away a 2nd partition erroneously and get pretty angry.
After the disk is selected, type: clean
Then type: create partition primary
Then exit the command window
Then use guiformat as mentioned above.

Here's the Windows how-to in the Model 3 manual
