You got lucky. Others have been ticketed.
I didn't want to chance it. Emailed MVD and they said no plate, no HOV lane. Even if you are in an EV.
fyi just got it fedex XD
luckily it was still on my porch when i got home.
If you don't mind me asking, how long was it before your temp tags lapsed?
i have 24 days left(10-28-19) so i was expecting to wait a few more weeks based on your experience
picked up my 3 on september 16th
Thanks. Interestingly, my pickup date was actually the very same day! Our paths may have crossed in the delivery lounge if you were later in the afternoon. No package for me today though. Did you take delivery in Tempe?
yeah i picked up there at about 10:30am
Where have folks been going for tire rotations? Especially in the Southeast Gilbert Area.
I've been hearing good reports about Costco.
Discount tire! Just make sure they know the lift points and you will be fine. It’s free too.
Intel is smart and has a bunch of chargers covered in Solar, I work for Northrup and not one panel or charger in a company that employs close to 2K in this fancy new building.
Non tesla - discount tire.
In warranty, Tesla always checked mine, but said the wear was so even that they didn't rotate. 45,000 miles and no rotations on the first set of tires. I think I got lucky with a perfectly aligned wheel base.
Costco on Sossaman has the pucks. They had 2 other Tesla’s in there when mine was.
Interesting now that I have an EV I rarely see anyone pulled over on the 17 or 101 for HOV violations. Used to have motorcycle cops all the time...
how about the pucks or BYOP ? My DT said they could put it on jacks instead of lift if no pucks.
Most places in the area have done enough Tesla to know what they are doing... I've gone to both, Costco and Discount.
Always BYOP lol
Going back to the HOV plate topic, can we keep the HOV license plate in perpetuity? I have a BMW i3 with the HOV plate that I plan to transfer to my new Model 3. But can I transfer it to the Model Y if at some point I'd like to get that car? I haven't read the law but I think that as long as the car is electric, we can do so.
2 weeks ago on the lower 202 a motorcycle cop was riding in the fast lane looking into each vehicle in the hov lane, he got someone about 3 cars behind me
Same on the 51. He got a Prius with a standard plate, made my morning
Right now there are no limits on Alt Fuel plate numbers, so no reason you can't get/transfer to another fully electric car. They limit the "energy efficient" plate numbers, but those are different.
