Tesla's use of advanced Computational Fluid Dynamics to reduce aerodynamic drag

    This article describes the use of advanced CFD to reduce Cd from 0.32 down to 0.24. Tesla's lead aerodynamicist, Rob Palin, is quoted.

    Sounds like the engineers and designers worked closely together to cut drag, using CFD to evaluate many changes and do parametric studies to optimize key areas.
