I vote for 2, Rosso Red. I once imported an SLK when they first came out, and my only caveat was that I didn't want the red interior. Needless to say, when the agent drove up in it, it had the red interior, and I loved it.

You did a great job on Dr. Tara's two-tone wrap, but one thing that bothered me about that is that you are forced to follow the body panel connecting points, which is not the most natural or beautiful dividing point for a two-tone paint job. I would love to see a true two-colour paint scheme that could follow the lines of the body more faithfully.

And on that other thing, I also found that moving this thread to "For Sale" was not necessary or fair considering the uneven treatment of other people promoting commercial products on the forum and the fact that this is your own car. I hope that a "customisation" category or other solution that is agreeable to all can be found.

Good luck, and I look forward to seeing the final result.

Elie....

Great input here by all, on colors, tints, wraps, etc., but don't let the public vote actually decide what your car is going to look like in the end. Lest you end up with this...

Lookin forward to seeing the finished product! :)

I'd love to hear what, if any, options are currently available in the vinyl market for producing two-colored panels that transition along a specified curve rather than a line. Or, perhaps, they can transition along a line and be stretched to match a curve.

#2!

The Tesla community has spoken... I will be wrapping all the exterior chrome elements of the car in 3M satin black wrap material.

Thank you for all the thread comments, PM's and emails. We will be wrapping it on Thursday. Pics to follow. I promise.

People's Choice Question #2
--------------------------------------
Interior: Complete change. New upholstery using Ferrari leather hides.

1. Ferrari creme
2. Ferrari Rosso
3. Ferrari black

I plan to reupholster the seats, headliner (yes in leather), dash, complete doors, center console and lower dash. Basically the complete interior.

quick question... I figured you guys would know... is there a vinyl wrap that looks like a satin metal (as opposed to the bright chrome on the Model S)? Say, that matches the silver on the wheels. I can't say I'm too fond of the matte black look, but a satin metal would look great and be less fingerprint prone than the chrome bits.

Actually, it's more of a service than and advertisement. Elie and his staff know the car, and have charging on site for customers. When i needed work on my brand new S in February i did some research, and was happy to find Elie and A/E west hollywood. Beats the hell out of taking it somewhere where they open the frunk and wonder where the engine is. then leaving it with them for 48 hours...
And i love the photos.

While I also love red I think that it probably doesn't fit a Model S for interior full leather. Too racy? I think that Model S is a sleek sexy performance sedan. Plus I want to integrate something that I've never done before to the interior... I feel that diamond quilted whether its Bentley Mulliner style, Lamborghini Qucitera or Pagani is a little played out? How about 3/4" x 3/4" quilted squares? Using thread the same color as the leather that we go with? And put it in the areas on the seats that Tesla puts Alcantara suede (bolsters)? And also maybe in the door panel curved insert areas?

People's Choice Question #3

Interior Accent Design: Complete change. New upholstery using Ferrari leather hides.

1. Diamond Quilted? If so wehere?
2. What style diamonds?
3. A-E design 3/4" squares

Since you bought a Tesla, and an 85 kWh with pano, tech package, active air suspension and twin chargers at that, and are sponsoring TESLIVE – both* actions that I can whole-heartedly support and get behind – I will give you my vote in this election:

3. A-E design 3/4" squares

And if I may: I propose we shower Elie with votes for Proposition 3 so he can really get going on modifying his Model S.

Likely impossible, how about a HUD for a smart phone? At least some logical integration of a phone with a charging port in a place where it is visible without having to look away from the road. For those of us that have Escort Live it would be great to have alert map projected somewhere it can easily be seen.

Exactly.

I really don't like the quilted diamonds or any quilting. I think a club-chair type burgundy leather would be great. A dark, rich camel as a second choice. Decorative stitching to create a shape. More Jaguar/Maserati/Aston than Bentley.
