Got my car Saturday. The lower vin number was likely due to a broken window somehow since I found a piece of glass inside. Must have been waiting for a replacement during Q3. I also noticed some damage from the car carrier to the plastic trim by the wheel which needs to be replaced and the trunk is slightly offset to the side. A couple minor paint issues also, and I think the rear seat stitching looked a little off in one location. Definitely not perfect, but with time running out for the tax credit and the RWD not in production, I will just see how good their service is and took delivery. Othwerwise its so much fun to drive. Already got a referral in 2 days from my friend who was already considering one. It makes my Scion Tc feel like a dinosaur. Only gonna use that for hauling rocks and garden stuff.

Congratulations!

The SC will fix you up, but be prepared to have a loaner that is not as much fun as your M3! They gave me a MS locked in chill mode when I had some paint issues addressed!

So if I’ve paid, have a vin, etc. does that mean the car is actually built and on the way?
Answer is something between Maybe and Most likely.
Enter your VIN here Delivery Receipts - United Road and see if you can find its last location. United Road does not do 100% of Tesla's transport so it possible it may not show up.

If you read back through this thread you will find instructions for setting up a tracking account on United Road for the Austin Pond Springs SC. Here is an in-bound VIN (5YJSA1E29JF276542) that was delivered to Pond Springs. You will need that to set up the account that will allow you to see pending in-bound deliveries.

Or you could save your sanity and patiently wait for a call or email from Tesla...;)

Thanks @hmerrill3 . My VIN isn't showing up in the search, the one you provided is not either, but that's OK.

I'm fine with waiting, no issue, just have things to plan around activities. I'm assuming the 11/10 @ 12noon delivery that shows up on the tesla page is a placeholder. My guy has been reasonably responsive so far.

Just got the call from my specialist!! I've order M3, Midrange, with the tentative delivery date of 12/13!
I just want to ask you where to go from here. I still haven't secured my loan yet, and no trade-in. Just want to ask everyone in Dallas who did you guys finance with and at what rate?
Thank you for your help.

Try credit unions, the rates have been changing the last few months. United Heritage has no payment for 90 days which works out well for texas buyers who get their car way after the bank sends the funds.

Grats guys!

I just took delivery of my model X yesterday and am stoked. Still on the downlow as I’m waiting to drop my car off the shop to get a full wrap on Monday. Once I get it back from that, I’m going to drive it like I stole it! :D

Pond springs SC has been a great location so far.

Hey @TexasRat! Noticed your delivery was also to Austin. As I'm waiting patiently to get my car, which was marked ready for transport last Thursday, I was wondering what the timeline looked like for you from 'In Transit' to when it arrived at the SC for pickup. My Delivery Advisor is pretty hesitant to give me target dates right now, which is understandable, but needless to say I'm still curious as to how long it may take =).

My friend in Austin ordered her MR 3 on November 4th and still has not heard back from an IDA. How long is that taking lately? I heard back in less than a week when I ordered mine.

On another note, I let her test drive mine over Thanksgiving briefly and figured out she was an oh my god person when it comes to acceleration after I took her for a spin. She will likely drive more conservative than me.

My friend got a text from Tesla saying to expect delivery between Dec 20-Dec 31st last night. Anyone else waiting in the same boat or get that text last night? She still hasn't heard from an IDA after a month.
I still have yet to receive any forms of communication via text. Although my IDA is super responsive so I don't really mind. My car got flipped to in transit on 11/29 and when I spoke with the local SC in Austin it's currently set for 12/15 as the pickup with the car being in Lathrop as of Wednesday *crosses fingers* it makes it here by next Saturday! Although earlier wouldn't hurt =)
