Texas Superchargers Out of Service?

Time-shifting of energy cost with battery storage sounds good on paper, but once you do the math it's unlikely going to save you any money. I've got 9c per kWh at night, and in summer over 40c between 4-9pm, and even that isn't enough to make it work. The initial cost of the powerwall or other battery storage is virtually impossible to recover (also for me it would be rather expensive as it would require updating of the main panel, and likely going from 100A to 200A service).

BTW: it could work when you do NOT have net metering, I think there are states that do not mandate that. Also not having gas service for hot water/cooking/heating would help.
