The question is whether to set up a Patreon account for an obsessive concept quest or to spring for a dream holiday that no Patreonista in their right mind would feel driven to subsidise...Simply stunning !!
Simply stunning !!
Incredible photographs, looks an amazing trip ! I can thoroughly recommend Norway as a place to drive, wonderful coastal roads (albeit a haven for potholes) but the scenery is stunning. I go to Tromso each year to see the lights and whales but I have to admit to flying up there rather than driving. It really is!!
The amazing thing is there are hardly any tourists around, the Highlands are busier!! Its also so easy to access, we left our accommodation in Dover at 6am was checking into our hotel in Interlaken by 4pm - we skipped the major cities and spent all our time around the moutain passes, than headed up Spa for the F1 via unrestricted autobahns.
Prices were no more expensive than any major UK city (cheaper than London). In all our time there we only came across one other RHD car, versus some parts of north France where every other car is RHD! I got the feeling the Swiss like to keep it that way!
Given how accessible the Alps are from the UK I would happily go there every holiday. My personal dream is to repeat what we did but reversed and add in Italien lakes/GP. So start at Spa, than smash down to Alps for a week, than to Monza, and return via the south of France. But apparently according to my wife we cannot visit the same place twice till we tick off every where else on the list.... so will be making do with Norway fjords at some point next few years .
Damn — beaten to it..!Great idea. You should check out #GBTeslaRoadTrip by @EVMaps on Twitter for some lessons they learnt and some inspiration. He done a similar thing in his Model 3 back in September 2019 using his 5000 free supercharger miles. He documented everything on Twitter as he was going along. Here’s the summary:

Be great if you could go into as much detail and could compare the stats.

Well this is what we are planning some time next few years....It should match the southern alps for scenery though accommodation will be more expensive, still it has to be done
