Well, unfortunately we'll be waiting a few months already given we are in the process of a refi on our home. Not interested in taking the credit hit while that's ongoing.

Could end up being fortunate! Who knows maybe there will be a 10k tax credit by then, though it’s looking a little iffy. I blame Cal Cunningham and his wandering eye.

Right now we're looking at an offer of $38.5k from insurance. Unfortunately though they are saying all the comps have autopilot, and it's does not. Once they fix that, we should be in the $42k range, which seems about right.

Pretty sure there’s no aluminum in the door. I don’t think there’s any aluminum in any of the external body panels on the 3.

All of the bolt on panels on the Model 3 are aluminium.

In my continued quest to fight misinformation on the internet, I just checked with a kitchen magnet, and this statement is not true. The trunk is not aluminum (good god, man, you are in South Carolina! Use the American spelling!).

Whew! Another great day of progress for me! I think I'll start the weekend early!

and make sure that your rental car coverage will pay for the type of car you want to rent. Also make sure it will pay for the number of days you want. I'm entering the 6th week of my repair rental.

Not much choice on a lot of insurance. I know on mine (Progressive) I maxed it out, but still only $60 per day up to 30 days.
