Hi @gliu89 ,

Welcome to TMC !!!

Questions...
Did it work before battery died???
Does it work with the other fob???

If it works with the other fob, your battery replaced fob may be bad and need to be replaced...

Assuming it worked correctly at one time -
If it does not work with either fob your car needs a service call.
When this happened to mine (assuming all settings are correct)
the Central Body Controller may need to be replaced...

Good luck and again Welcome!!!

Reviving an old reply here since this just happened to me. Got new batteries for both fobs. Don’t have the other fob on me right now to test. What’s the Central Body Controller? Thanks.

Hi @avesraggiana ,

The central body controller is a small computer unit that keeps the registration
information for the key fobs...
So when it failed and was replaced the key "codes" had to be programmed into
the new central body controller...
I think it works with windows and door locks...
Part 1045441-00-?? available at your service center or eBay.
Not too expensive.

Good luck,

Shawn

Thank you for your response, Shawn. I appreciate it very much. Will add checking the central body controller to my list of things to be looked at on my upcoming service visit.

I have a Model X with FSD package....When I get home, most of the time I park in my garage (open garage) in reverse so I can plug the charger...is there a way to make the car self park in reverse in my garage ? if not is it possible to make it self park in my garage (not in reverse ) Thanks

Hi @EER JR ,

Welcome to TMC!!!

It's like @GoodRide said above in the "Vehicle" panel
change the setting "Driver Door Unlock Mode" to off.

That way when you unlock the car all doors unlock...

See the picture above...

Good luck,
