The Body shop left stains and scuffs in and on my car when they repaired it

When I picked it up from Tesla it was emaculate! I did a whole tour of the car that took hours! Looked at every inch inside and outside of the car. I cleaned in and out weekly, and did treatments to keep it clean and semi-protected. mud flaps and all. I thought of doing a paint protection film. Anyways to get to the point. I knew this car by heart. My heart broke when I got into an accident a few months after the delivery! I was offered a choice of garages which ended up not being a choice. Even though I wasn't keen at all to go to the garage my insurance was sending me they pushed me into it! I said the reviews are so bad! "We send all our Tesla's there and they are always satisfied' Yes I also see reviews about people regretting to have listened to their insurance. "ya but bla bla bla" I let them take my car there with a lot of stress and not much choice. LONG Story about my bad experience with them, the garage and everything. Probably my next post.

There are oil stains, paint everywhere, chips, my seats look like they have been used for years. Not to mention the burns holes they did on my car seats. More on this soon.

I need to go sleep but I really wanted to post this before and if possible I'll edit tomorrow or add more.

You know when you say something and there is always a reason. example looks like someone painted over rocks and then sanded it. 'no, no this is normal, Tesla's have this guard thing at the bottom and it's normal to see these holes' When I mentioned, chips, paint etc, then it was normal because of the wheels dude it just came out of our garage freshly painted. I barely drove the thing. but then proceeds to say I am doing well by protecting it with flaps. 🤦‍♀️
The colours aren't the same! the paint isn't properly done! 'well you know when the sun hits the car the colours can seem different.' NO REALLY?! Do I look that dumb, I know that!
My car seats are damaged! "well how would we do that we weren't even working there"
My car isn't well aligned "you know all Tesla's have that issue and once you have an accident it will never be like new" but I know my car and it didn't look like that. your garage said it would be better than before the accident! LOL Contradict much? (my car looks crocked now) but
There are metal chips and paint chips around the tires that will cause issues with rust. "Ya but all Tesla's have rust issues" First I call bull. Well-maintained, treated cars are a thing. Second, So with what he says, I should just make sure that it happens now! Or the garage had the obligation to make it rust. LOL
So much more issues inside out and electric since going there, the list is too long for 1:30 am.

Okay I can go on and on about all of this but I really need to end this and go, Please tell me I am not seeing things that this isn't normal. Why do I keep getting these garage guys trying to make me feel stupid? Just like the other guy when I picked it up there told me the black rubber marks He took off with a buffer was just frozen. Once it would unfreeze I could just wipe it off with a cloth.🤦‍♀️

Thank you everyone. I need to sleep. Tomorrow is another long day of calls and issues to fix. 🥲

That paint job is cheeks! I have gotten better results using a rustoleum can (and believe me I can't paint).

I do not have whites seats in my Tesla, but had pretty light color seats in my old Hyundai, try a leather cleaner and conditioner with a leather brush and see if that works. If the garage isn't going to help you, maybe reach back out to your insurance and see what they can do since this job is not satisfactory. Good luck!

I knew I wasn't crazy 😆 lol
Thank you!
The insurance estimator was there to check the bad job with the garage guy. But he left before we cleaned the car and went around.
I know the garage will report there wasn't much and I was exaggerating just by his responses to my concerns. Telling me this paint job is normal and what is supposed to be showing like I wouldn't know. I would come back but after a while I gave up and thought what's the point. He will never admit, say its normal or not them, always have a response to everything and he is not the person I should be arguing with. My insurance is.

For the seats I never noticed those til after but when I told him he said it was again "normal" and from the belts. I was so angry at all they did. My car never had an issue. And now the list keeps getting bigger, to list just a few, the wheel they fixed is always at 1 psi giving an error, my charging port doesn't open, my updates don't always work, I have none stop error notifications, frost in the car, my window comes down, etc.

That's a Tesla thing. Well funny how I never had an issue and now my car randomly slows down on the highway, or the wheel is tight, breaks barely work, car moves itself on top of cosmetic and other electronic issues that was never a problem. I feel like they ruined my car😭

How about the metal chunk that looks chipped in the trunk? He told me that was a manufacturer problem. Tesla have things like that and if not satisfied to check with tesla.
Ive never noticed that there. It looks like they grinded it.

here's a few more pictures of the mess they did.

That's a crap paint job and they know it. Even on cars that do have that textured rock paint at the bottom - it is an even line right across not patchy like that (mixture of smooth and textured in the same plane)
Is that rust showing through the paint? If so, they haven't even cleaned it before spraying, let alone put any treatment or primer IMO to get it like that!

The seats - those are either cig burns or possibly an escaping piece of hot metal from welding or grinder work, could be from on your car, or could just be because it was in proximity to others during it's stay. Looks like they have also stored something on the back seat while it was in.

Personally if I had turned up to the garage to pick up the car and it looked like that I would not sign anything and tell them to sort it - not sure how it works in your country insurance wise, but if the customer rejects the work/doesn't sign the handover, the garage doesn't get paid.

I am not sure about the chip in the trunk. It is possible that it is something Tesla had messed up, I would not be surprised. Judging by the photos and what you say, you have every right to be angry as it looks quite bad. That garage is grimy, you should consider filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

It seems like you have a plethora of problems with the car, and if the garage and your insurance aren't playing ball, turn off sentry mode, park it in a less than desirable part of town with the keycard taped to the window, and let the stand-up citizens in that area work their magic... That will surely get your insurance to take action!
