What is the Current status of "right to repair"? According to this old article Automakers agree to 'right to repair' deal law

• Require automakers to make available to repair shops the same vehicle repair information they give to dealers
  
• Allow repair shops to purchase that data with an ordinary computer over a standardized, Internet-based service
  
• Require automakers to offer a nonproprietary interface for diagnosing problems with vehicles, starting in the 2018 model year

Is this only in Massachusetts in US?

We haven't gotten an update from @JonMc on where Tesla is in making self-repair an option for Tesla owners. (They said they were working on it a long time ago.)

Jon listened to owners some...... I hope the new guy reaches out to the community more. Hell, they should have a group that does nothing but respond to owners. Poor communications seems to be the major gripe about Tesla. That an having to do your own QA/QC when you get the car.

According to the investor call yesterday, "the new guy" is Elon. Soooo... uhh... this'll be interesting.
