My car is officially "In Production"! Looks like they're finally really ramping up the Aussie D's to meet that Sept delivery date.

It's a shame I didn't go over for TMC connect this weekend I might have been able to spot my own car on the Production Line during a factory tour.

So that was about 15 days which is a suprisingly long time. I am guessing that "in transit" means it is awaiting the other aussie orders to complete so that they all get loaded onto thecargo ship at the same time. All expected around Late September I'd say...

My sig took a whole 20 days in production last October. I have no idea why. The car is really good though- no issues at all other than a very minor intermittently sticking charge port door fixed in about 10 mins while I waited and I was supercharging anyway.

"Your Model S is in transit from the factory" - amazing it only took 4 days to build!

I can't believe it's now ready to roll but I won't be able to drive it for another couple of months. Now the wait becomes really hard... Time to get the charger installed

Congratulations Aussie Yank - I see you got every conceivable option too... I was trying to formulate a theory about whether certain options slowed down production, but that theory never got off the ground.

I am currently 6 days and counting... But hey - don't want to rush this part of things - take your time folks, work out all the kinks, don't cut any corners...

Yes - the cars do exist... that is a game changer!

yes I had the same thought(s)....are certain options "out of stock". In my case, the executive seats are rare and since discontinued.....but it appears not, since mine is fully loaded (although I have been waiting since DECEMBER !!!

Time to organize the Opticoat from Matt.....had my Merc done in April, fantastic job and car stays much cleaner and brighter. Oh yea, have to pay for this NEW TOY ..

Being retired I don't have a 9-5 or whatever to distract me, so I'm working on projects in preparation for the arrival of my Model S and so I'm a contradiction and not distracted at all. See I'm going crazy!!! :redface:

Not sure when it started as I had not checked the status for a few days.

I am only a few Km's (or miles) from the factory so I am tempted to try and organise a last minute tour and see if I can spot it on the production line.

As of this morning, I am now in transit from the factory. Total 8 days build time.


P.s. Is that it as far as the website messages go? Now expect a phone call from delivery specialist? No message saying your Model S is now under the care of Captain Jackson from Maersk or something?
