When 40% of the production cars (20 out of 50) are for "engineering validation" (straight from the horse's mouth), the answer is obvious. The production hell is just beginning.
The selected employees will be under NDA for months, till the car is ready for delivery to customers outside the loyal fan base.

I'm sorry; did not know Steve Jurvetson is an 'employee' at Tesla! Being a board member, he has got the blessing of the board. Or may be the NDA says "You can post anything anywhere as long as it is glowingly positive".

This brings up more questions. Are these first 30 customers really even employees, or are they again the friends of top Tesla execs and Tesla investors, like it was for Model X?
Let's hope these are real deliveries, not just namesake first deliveries as they were for Model X.

Why would you think that? It's entirely possible that the first thing on their minds was not to rush out and publish a video of their new car. Not everyone puts videos up on youtube, I'd bet that only a very small percentage of people actually do that. Now, if you were friends with them on facebook or something there are probably all sorts of pictures out there by now.
