I'm not starting a fight, just nitpicking, as we do here, at some inaccuracies.
(theoretically, we shouldn't talk about Neuralink at all, so my post is OT as are several others).

Criticism of Neuralink, basically saying they have done nothing new. Channel seems to be generally negative towards Musk.

Technically, electric vehicles and rockets are nothing new either. But what most people fail to understand is that most of Elon's companies find their massive value-add in successfully commercializing difficult-to-manufacture or difficult-to-scale technologies.

I think the complaints have been that tests have been rushed under extreme time crunch (not unusual in Elon's world) - resulting in botched tests/ experiments needing to be re-done (more animals being used than necessary) and avoidable suffering...

Yeah, I support ethical testing on animals. Of course Elon will spin any oversight as political revenge.
same here. The rules are pretty straight forward but if you get caught doing unapproved tests or exceed allocated animal counts without approval and you do have complaints filed about rules being broken... you will rightfully get investigated. Research on animals is a great responsibility and shouldn't be taken lightly.

Yeah, this is garbage, to be frank. You are speaking from a position of something you don't know anything about the ins and outs of.
Animal testing is EXTREMELY highly regulated in the US. And I've been involved in it (both at the molecular level - using animal "cell lines", and at the whole-animal level).
It's so highly regulated that all it takes is one tech, forgetting some simple part of a process (wiping the skin with alcohol 5 times, but he only did 4 - and his coworker saw him and didn't like it and filed an anonymous tip), to get investigated.
Could they have screwed up? Sure, very possible. It is cutting edge stuff they are doing.
But the timing is SUSPECT - They have been doing animal testing for 2+ years now. Why ONLY NOW is there a complaint and an investigation? Did Elon's political views piss off one of the scientists and they decided to lash out?
Sorry, but this just "smells" like someone with an agenda. The timing, right after the Nueralink presentation, and right after Twitter was bought out, just doesn't pass the sniff test.
You know what else doesnt pass the sniff test share a screen shot of an email claiming government suppressing 1st amendment rights and not stating what was in the tweets. Then people discovering the best you could share to claim government suppression was a CAMPAIGN asking for revenge porn to be deleted.

I never claimed to know anything about it. It would not surprise me at all if the allegations are true and the whistleblower did it with impure motives (this is not at all uncommon.) It wouldn’t surprise me if it’s not true at all.
I just feel that Elon’s strategy these days is to claim that everyone is out to get him.

I suspect when there is an investigation by the FDA, they will find a series of "minor infractions". These are common, everyone has them. The regulations are so long and mundane about things that literally having a trash can in the wrong corner of a lab can flag as an infraction.
Universities minimize this by having clinical review boards to look over everything in painstaking detail before it goes to submission. It's also why University labs often run at a slower pace then industry labs (who have similar bodies, but are more streamlined).
