I think that is some sort of prototype bumper cover.
I recall seeing them take the front bumper cover off before, probably as they tested/worked on the prototype drive-train.
So, I still don't see a sure indication of any sort of accident... Just that they weren't super careful the last time they reattached the front bumper cover.

The automaker Toyota said Wednesday it will invest 80 million to boost production from its plant in Woodstock, Ontario, which will result in the creation of 400 new jobs.

The production of this plant, which is built the RAV4 sport utility vehicle, will rise from 150,000 vehicles per year to 200,000 by early next year.

Supported by the governments of Canada and Ontario, Toyota began last year to implement various new initiatives in Canada to increase productivity and support the production of greener vehicles and fuel efficient.

Before Wednesday's announcement, the company revealed that the first electric vehicle to be built by Toyota in North America, the new RAV4 EV, is produced at Woodstock in early 2012.

Toyota currently builds the Corolla, Matrix and RAV4 Toyota and the Lexus RX 350. It has two plants in Cambridge, Ontario and one in Woodstock, Ontario. The company currently has approximately 6,500 employees.

Yeah, same car they brought to Toronto. One wonders why they bother, since it's not representative of the production vehicle, and there's no one there who knows anything about it.

Oh lord, there is no center console. That's confirmation. Two cars now without center consoles in 2012. The world will end indeed in 2012....
